Scott Heelan


Catching & Hitting Instructor


Scott played at Warren Township High School and was a two-year starter as a catcher. He was recognized as an all-conference and all-area player as both a junior and senior. Earning all-state second team honors as senior, while helping team to the most wins in a single season at the school, a regional championship and a state berth. Scott had season-high numbers included a .460 batting average with 42 runs, 44 RBI, 12 doubles, five triples and four home runs and also threw out 12 base stealers. He hit .398 as a junior with eight doubles, a triple, a home run and 17 RBI.

Scott was named both the school's Male Athlete of the Year and the US Army Scholar Athlete of the Year, as well as the recipient of the Will to Live Foundation’s Paul Stevens’ Life Teammate Award (2015). Presented to the individual who best demonstrates leadership on and off the field, the person who motivates, inspires, and cares for teammates and the program, and the person who always puts the "team above self". Voted on by teammates and coaches.
