FREE Girls Softball Skills Clinic

Slammers Training Academy is proud to announce a FREE Girls Softball Skills Camp on Columbus Day Weekend (Monday, October 11th, 2010 from 10:00am - 1:30pm).  Conducted by new Slammers Softball Skills Coach Heather Ruchim, this All-Inclusive Skills Clinic will cover Hitting, Throwing, Fielding & Base Running.  Registration is limited to the first 24 participants in each session, so register now!

Session 1 (Ages 8-11 years old):  10:00 - 11:30 AM

Session 2 (Ages 12-14 years old):  12:00 - 1:30 PM

Conducted by Slammers newest addition, Softball Skills Coach Heather Ruchim.  Heather brings more than 15 years of Softball training and experience to Slammers.  Recruited to play Division 1 Softball at the University of Wisconsin, Heather excelled in her years of playing ball.  She is currently in her third year as the Head Coach with the Deerfield Warriors Travel Softball Program.

While playing at Stevenson High School, Heather served as a 3-year starter where she enjoyed a standout career.  Selected as a 3-time All-Conference Player and a 3-time All-Area Selection, she led her Stevenson team to a Super-Sectional birth in 2004 and a Sectional birth in 2005.  Heather was the recipient of Stevenson's Big Gun Award in 2005 and was an All-State Selection in that year as well.  Heather was recently named to the 2010 Pioneer Press All-Decade Dream Team, which consisted of the top 10 softball players in Lake County spanning the years from 2000-2010.
