

Los Angeles Dodgers Catcher
Gary was drafted out of Waukegan High School in 1990 by the Philadelphia Phillies. Gary has played in the Major Leagues for a total of 13 seasons, spending his last season in 2008 as a catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. His long career has included a number of playoff births, and was a member of the 2006 World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals. Gary's experience at the highest levels of the game give him an unparalleled understanding of baseball, and a valued member of Slammers Professional Training and leader in Player Development.
Gary heads a great Professional Staff of Catching and Hitting Instructors here at Slammers. Gary trains the top High School and College Catchers from the area and his schedule is in high demand. He has just begun an Advanced High School Catchers Skills, Core-Strength and Explosion Program with Slammers new partners, Illinois Bone & Joint Institue, that has helped Gary develop over 20 of the top High School products in the Chicagoland Area. Gary is also instrumental in the design and increase in exposure to the Advanced Catcher Skills & Anaylsis Showcase that Slammers hosted over 25 Catchers from all over the state of Illinois this past August. The Next Skills & Analysis Program is planned to run on Sunday, November 29th from 8:30am - 3:30pm, and registration is available to HS Catchers.
