Mike Nilles

Slammers Instructor Mike Nilles played at Mundelein High School, where he was twice named to North Subrurban All-Conference Players of the Year. He helped the Mustangs in 2002 to a school record in wins (32) and a 4th Place Finish in the IHSA State Tournament. Mike earned a scholarship to play at Indiana University, where he played 3rd and 1st base for all 4 years. Mike compiled a .317 Big Ten batting average and was tied as team leader in Home Runs his senior year. Mike won the 2007 Scholar-Athlete Award for baseball at Indiana and was a 3-Year Academic All-Big Ten Winner.

Mike is currently the Head Freshman Baseball Coach at Lake Forest High School and also helps coach with the Lake Forest American Legion Team this Summer. He coaches all aspects of the game of baseball and is flexible throughout the year and will be involved in many Slammers camps & programs.
