Von Hayes

Slammers is proud to announce our newest Instructor and former 12-Year Major League Veteran Von Hayes. Von played professionally over the course of 13 years and enjoyed a fantastic playing career. In only his 2nd year as a big leaguer, Von's 1983 Philadelphia Phillies team appeared in the World Series, and in 1986, Von placed 5th overall as the NL MVP race (led the league in Runs Produced, Doubles and Runs Scored). Von was selected to play in the 1989 MLB All-Star Game when he hit a career high 26 home runs.
