Welcome to Slammers Training Academy Lake Forest, Illinois
Slammers offers Professional Instruction for an affordable price and the facility is easily accessible from anywhere in the North Shore. Slammers Indoor Training Academy offers more room than of any competition in the area (over 20,000 square foot facility), with multiple areas for hitting, fielding, pitching and instruction available.
Camps and Clinics are organized and instructed all year round, and have been designed by Major League players and high school coaches. Slammers is able to offer clients the best service for the best price by far and given by our incredible staff, which includes 5 Former Major League Players, Regional MLB Scouting Directors and Associate Scouts, over 10 former or current high school varsity coaches and 15 former professional players.

Monday - Tuesday: 2pm - 9pm
Wednesday: 12/24 CLOSED // 12/31: 10am-2pm
Friday: 12pm - 6pm
Saturday/Sunday: 10am - 2pm
Local player Jack Marshall and his relationship with former Northwestern & current Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker Brian Peters. Jack is currently on Slammers' Fall team and is having a successful season. For more on the story, please CLICK HERE.
Slammers would like to congratulate the Buffalo Grove baseball team which includes Slammers student and Bryan Park (pictured right with team trophy) - great job players and coaches!! The team competed all tournament and represented the Illinois baseball community commendably on the national level!!
Slammers would like to congratulate our 16u Slammers Team for their recent Championship victory in DeKalb at the 2014 Northern Illinois Invite 16u Tournament. They followed up that weekend with another championship in Evanston, IL (pictured to the right). Good luck in the upcoming weeks - all that hard work is paying off now!!
Slammers product and Libertyville resident Evan Skoug has been named the 2013-14 Gatorade Illinois Baseball Player of the Year. The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field, distinguishes Skoug as Illinois’s best high school baseball player.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks won the 2014 NCAA Division 3 National Championship cruising to a 7-0 victory in the Championship game behind the magnificent performance of starting pitcher Scott Plaza who pitched a complete game striking out 9 in the shutout. The win gave the UW-Whitewater community it's "Triple Crown" sweeping the NCAA D-3 Football, Basketball and Baseball National Championships all in the 2013-14 campaign.
Slammers would like to congratulate Libertyville High School SS Jimmy Govern on his recent commitment to play collegiately for Eastern Illinois University. Slammers is proud to have Jimmy as a cornerstone of our High School Program, and we wish him the best of luck in his future.
Ryan Borucki is turning heads, performing well while pitching in the Toronto Blue Jays organization for the Vancouver and Bluefield affiliate teams. Ryan rehabbed while coaching youth baseball players this past Winter trying to prepare for his return from his recent Tommy John surgery. He has bounced back good, posting a 2.45 ERA in 51+ innings posting 49 strikeouts while only walking 9 batters. We will keep you all posted of Ryan's progress - keep up the great work Ryan, we are all proud of you.
Slammers wants to recognize former Libertyville resident and Slammers patron Harrison Goonewardene who verbally committed to the University of Washington. Harrison works with Slammers Senior Pitching Coach Jim Sakas while visiting from his new residence near Seattle, Washington. Congrats to Harrison and good luck this season and into your collegiate career!
Slammers would like to congratulate players from the Class of 2014 - Lake Forest's Luke Johnson on his commitment to D1 Patriot League member Bucknell University along with Taylor Langtry from Glen Ellyn who plays for Slammers Softball Instructor Kerry Satterwhite (playing with Illinois Chill Team). Libertyville's Jimmy Govern (Eastern Illinois), Lake Forest's JR Reimers (Northwestern), Libertyville's Evan Skoug (Texas Christian University), Carmel's Ian Kristan (Bradley University), Libertyville's Noah Greenberg (Concordia), Lake Forest's Michael Szeszol (Concordia) and Libertyville's Ian Grant (Rose-Hulman) will all continue their careers.
