MLB Scouts from the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies & Miami Marlins have made visits to Slammers over the last month to scout local Slammers products like Neal Cotts (7-Year MLB Veteran), Troy Barton (Libertyville HS ('09)/EIU), Aaron Snyder (Grayslake Central HS ('09)/SIU), Ryan Borucki (Mundelein HS ('12)/Iowa U.) & Jason Goldstein (Highland Park HS ('12)/U of I).

Slammers Hosts 2012 College Signing Day

Slammers Training Academy Co-Owner Ed Tolzien was invited to spend the weekend alongside of current Chicago Cubs Hitting Coach Rudy Jaramillo in Dallas, TX. Rudy Jaramillo has worked with some of the greatest hitters currently in the Major Leagues. His simple 5-step approach has helped players like Jeff Bagwell, Alex Rodriguez, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton and Starlin Castro. Jaramillo has spent 15 years with the Texas Rangers and 2 years with the Cubs with 17 of his players winning the Silver Slugger Award and 3 MVP Awards under his guidance.

Slammers Training Academy is proud announce our newest additions to the already outstanding Coaching Staff. Adding 2005 World Series Champion and former 7-Year MLB Veteran Neal Cotts (played for both the White Sox & Cubs) along with Frank Berry & Jason Pankau, Slammers has over 30 years of MLB playing experience and 2 players with World Series Championships just in the last 6 years. Slammers Training Academy Hosts Ripken Baseball Camp

January 31, 2010 - Slammers Training Academy hosts Ripken Baseball Camp conducted by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. and 13-Year MLB veteran Billy Ripken. Local travel teams participated in this all-day baseball training camp.
