SLAMMERS FALL BASEBALL LEAGUE
Slammers Announces 2nd Annual Fall Baseball League, including instructional 8-U League, and competitive 9-U & 10-U League. Slammers Fall Baseball League will run on Sunday's from August 22nd until October 10th. Games will be held weekly in Libertyville and playoffs will include all teams and be held at the end of the Fall League Season.

Slammers Owner Todd Fine has been selected by USA Baseball to Coach the USA 18-U National Team. The top 128 baseball players across the nation are brought together by the USA National Program and out of that, 32 of the best players will be chosen to compete for one of 18 roster slots for a trip to the IBAF "AAA" Junior World Champioship in Ontario at the end of July. Slammers Training Academy is proud to be the training home of the 2010 Stevenson High School Varsity Baseball Team. Slammers Owners and Staff would like to congratulate Kyle Ruchim (inset) and all other players for their hard work and 3rd Place Finish in the IHSA Baseball State Finals. Stevenson finished their season with an amazing 35-4 record.
Slammers Training Academy Hosts Ripken Baseball Camp
January 31, 2010 - Slammers Training Academy hosts Ripken Baseball Camp conducted by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. and 13-Year MLB veteran Billy Ripken. Local travel teams participated in this all-day baseball training camp.

Slammers is Training Home of Current # 1 Baseball America MLB Top Prospect
Chrisitan Friedrich (pictured below) is currently listed in the Top 50 Prospects in the Major Leagues. Christian, who works with Slammers Pitching Coach Jim Sakas, was a 2008 1st Round Draft Pick by the Colorado Rockies. Christian, 22 years old, completed his 1st professional season in 2009 in Class A Levels notching 159 strikeouts with only 43 walks while posting a 2.41 ERA.
