Slammers BUSY SEASON (December 1st - April 30th):
Please help us continue to accommodate the ever growing need for space during the busy season and please understand our guidelines during busy season below:

- Please be aware that safety is our main concern, be mindful of your neighbors and anytime you enter an area players may be hitting or playing catch do so with caution. Players under the age of 14 are required to wear helmets in the cages at all times and so is anyone below the age of 18 without parent consent.

- Players MUST reserve cages ahead of time by calling 847-816-6572 to stay as efficient as we can on space needed, wait times can be up to 3 hours if you drop in at the wrong time so please call ahead. Failure to show up to a reservation may cost you the privilege to reserve cages in future if repeat - efficiency of space.

- Clients will be limited to one cage time (30-min) reservation per day, this will keep cages rotating/accessible to as many players that we can accommodate.

- Reservations with more than 2 players and a coach is considered a "Team Practice" and is not a qualification of what a player Membership provides. When it comes to these type of workouts, please refer to our TEAM PRACTICE PAGE for more details and pricing, call 847-816-6572 to set up those reservations.

- Instructors/Team Coaches that are not affiliated with Slammers (staff or a partner team) can not be allowed to work with any player (member or non) without being on staff at Slammers. This is strictly a business liability decision and we at Slammers welcome anyone to join our program, just need to do the proper way.

Thank you kindly for your consideration and participation in Slammers. Just like the staff and players in our program already, we ask that keeping the facility clean of gum or colored liquids is truly appreciated!!

A Little Slammers Illinois History

Slammers Training Academy would like to invite you to share our indoor facility with automated batting machines (for both Baseball and Softball). Under new ownership which consists of local baseball specialists including former MLB Catcher and Waukegan native Gary Bennett. Gary played in the MLB from 1995-2009 (2006 World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals Catcher). The Expertise of our Academy stems from the top, where Gary Bennett along with partners Dar Townsend (Former 25-Year Head Varsity Coach at Warren Township H.S.), Ed Tolzien and the rest of the staff all have wealth of baseball knowledge into our Programs, Clinics and Lessons. Slammers & partners have developed over 250 collegiate & over 30 Major League Prospects!

Slammers offers Professional Instruction for an affordable price and the facility is easily accessible from anywhere in the North Shore. Slammers Indoor Training Center offers more room than of any competition in the area – 20,000+ total square feet, with multiple hitting, fielding, pitching and instructional cages available. Camps and Clinics are organized and instructed all year round, and are designed by Major League Veterans. By far, Slammers is able to offer clients the best service for the best price. With instruction from our incredible staff, which includes 5 Former Major League Players, Regional MLB Scouting Directors and Associate Scouts, 10 former or current high school varsity coaches and 15 former professional baseball alumnus.

Slammers Training Academy continues to develop local talent with the help of our professional training staff. Our mission in "Training Future Athlete Leaders" through the vehicle of baseball and softball is what keeps our Academy able to prepare players for the next level. Many teams, coaches and organizations are caught up with Wins and Losses so much that they lose focus of what is best for each individual player. Player development, improving interpersonal relationships, building maturity and responsibility in our athletes and creating positive experiences for our players to flourish at the next level is what Slammers represents.
