Slammers Illinois Baseball & Softball Academy
"Developing Future Athlete Leaders..."

Slammers Training Academy would like to invite you to share our indoor facility with batting cages, pitching lanes, fielding areas and revamped weight room (for both Baseball and Softball). Slammers local baseball specialists include Gary Bennett (2006 World Series Champion - STL Cardinals) and Neal Cotts (2005 World Series Champion - CHI White Sox). The Expertise of our Academy stems from the top, where Gary Bennett, along with Dar Townsend (Former 25-Year Head Varsity Coach at Warren Township H.S.) and Ed Tolzien (former professional) all have wealth of baseball knowledge into our Programs, Clinics and Lessons. Since induction in 2008, Slammers has developed hundreds of collegiate scholarships & developed over 30 Major League Prospects!

Slammers offers Professional Instruction for an affordable price and the facility is easily accessible from anywhere in the North Shore. Slammers Indoor Training Center offers more room than of any competition in the area – 18,000 total square feet, with multiple hitting, fielding, pitching and instructional cages available. Camps and Clinics are organized and instructed all year round, and are designed by Major League Veterans. By far, Slammers is able to offer clients the best service for the best price. With instruction from our incredible staff, which includes 5 Former Major League Players, Regional MLB Scouting Directors and Associate Scouts, 10 former or current high school varsity coaches and 15 former professional baseball alumnus. Slammers Training Academy continues to develop local talent with the help of our professional training staff. Our mission in "Training Future Athlete Leaders" through the vehicle of baseball and softball is what keeps our Academy able to prepare players for the next level.

Many teams, coaches and organizations are caught up with Wins and Losses so much that they lose focus of what is best for each individual player. Player development, improving interpersonal relationships, building maturity and responsibility in our athletes and creating positive experiences for our players to flourish at the next level is what Slammers represents. Our 2012 signings (pictured above) includes 5 local High School players from different schools that have been playing together for the past 5 years have all attained collegiate athletic and academic scholarships to continue to play Baseball.
